ok, so at approx $500,000 (or approx £308,000 in today’s money) a piece the cruise missiles being fired into libya is not only a fools game from a monetary standpoint, but add to that the political and social ramifications of these actions on a foreign populus and actually you cant help but wonder why we’re getting ourselves involved.
i understand that the pursuit of democracy, delivered in a sustainable and welcomed way may stand to correct a lot of wrongs in this world but it is not a fight that we need to help others start.
invested in our own endeavors, the vast sums of money spent on military hardware (which is leading to tragic loss of life) could be spent on developing renewable energy – removing the need to apply so much focus on nations with a wealth of “black gold” and allow us to get on with building a better world of our own to live in. live and let live.

In sharp contrast to the above however, as a strategic device, the cruise missile is a devastatingly well engineered weapon.
